It takes the audio track out of a video and saves it as a standalone audio file on your iPhone. Import a video from Photos or Files, optionally trim it, choose M4A, WAV, or AAC, and the app writes the audio locally — no uploads, no account, no internet needed.
Anything iOS can play natively, which covers MP4, MOV, and M4V from your Photo Library or the Files app. If the video opens in Apple's own player, the app can pull audio from it.
No — and no iOS app can, without bundling a third-party encoder. Apple's native media frameworks do not include an MP3 encoder. M4A (AAC) is the modern equivalent: smaller files at the same quality, and it plays everywhere MP3 does, including on Android, Windows, and in every major music app. If you need an uncompressed file for editing, choose WAV.

Completely. Extraction, trimming, playback, and export all run on-device. The only time the app touches the network is to load subscription prices and verify a purchase with Apple.
Extract your audio, open it in the player, and tap Ringtone to export a 30-second .m4r file. Because Apple does not let third-party apps install ringtones directly, the final step is to open that file in GarageBand and use "Share → Ringtone". The app walks you through it.
Standard quality re-encodes the audio to a balanced, share-friendly size. Original passes the existing audio track straight through with no re-encoding at all, so there is zero generation loss — the file you get is bit-for-bit the audio that was inside your video. It is a Pro feature.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you cancel through them: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Extract Audio From Video+ → Cancel. If you bought Lifetime there is nothing to cancel. You can re-sync any purchase with Restore Purchases in the app's Settings tab.
